Excursion to the lakes of Covadonga in small group

At the time you choose, we will meet at the parking lot of Llerado street in Cangas de Onis, where we will board a vehicle to discover the beauty of the National Park of Picos de Europa in a small group.

For three and a half hours, we will have fun discovering the lakes of Covadonga, Enol and Ercina, which are at an altitude of 1100 meters. While we explain how these landscapes have been formed, you can enjoy the spectacular surroundings and take pictures with the lakes in the background. The route will focus mainly on getting to know the nature and landscapes of this natural environment.

Then we will go to the Vega de Enol, the place where the famous Gamoneu del Puerto cheese is made, where we will learn about the relationship between extensive livestock farming and mountain ecosystems. This is the place where the shepherds make this exquisite cheese, a real delight!

We will continue with a stop at the Mirador de la Reina, where we will enjoy magnificent views and watch birds of prey such as vultures, golden eagles or bearded vultures with binoculars and telescopes, learning about the reintroduction project of the latter species. Do you know why the latter has this fearsome name? This and many other curiosities will be revealed during the tour.

Of course, we will also spend time talking about other animals that inhabit the park, such as bears, wolves or chamois.

Finally, we will take you back to the meeting point, where we will end the activity.
