Must-see Oviedo

  • San Salvador Cathedral ⛪

One of the great symbols of the city. Gothic style, houses the Holy Chamber (World Heritage Site) and is part of the Camino de Santiago. The Plaza de Alfonso II is one of the most beautiful and photographed points of Oviedo.

  • Historic District 🏘️

Pedestrian streets, squares with arcades, terraces, historic buildings and urban sculptures (such as La Regenta or Mafalda) make strolling through this area an essential experience.

It is the most famous street to drink cider in Oviedo. Here you can find many traditional cider houses where you can pour cider in the Asturian style and taste typical dishes such as cachopo, fabada or cheeses from the region.

  • Uría Street 🏙️

Perfect for strolling, shopping or simply enjoying Oviedo’s most elegant urban architecture.

  • San Francisco Park 🌳

A historic park in the heart of downtown with wide promenades, wooded areas, sculptures and a very pleasant atmosphere to rest or stroll in any season of the year.

  • Museum of Fine Arts 🖼️

It has one of the most important collections in northern Spain, with works ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary art. Free admission.

  • Pre-Romanesque Monuments and Christ of Naranco 🏛️

In Monte Naranco you can find:

  • Santa María del Naranco

  • San Miguel de Lillo

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, they are one of the great historical treasures of Asturias. From there you can also get spectacular panoramic views of the city.

At the top is also the Christ of Naranco, visible from much of Oviedo.
